Over the last decades, he developed the theory of the \u2018Celtic from the West\u2019, combining archaeology, linguistic and genetic studies, whereby Celtic culture may have actually developed along the Atlantic fa\u00e7ade during the Bronze Age, to then move inland, whilst general opinion used to relate Celtic origins with the Hallstatt culture of the Alps and central Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n

Holder of two doctorates, in English (University of Western Brittany, Brest) and Ancient History (University of Paris-IV Sorbonne), he managed and took part in numerous excavations in Western Brittany and published over seven hundred articles and books, including the correspondence between George Bernard Shaw and Augustin Hamon, his French translator.
